The Monumental Garden of Palazzo Corsini al Prato and its Orangeries

Orangeries
The garden is decorated with citrus trees in large renaissance terracotta pots, these lemons and orange trees are mouved into the orangeries during the winter time. the orangeries themselfs were built at the same time of the garden. Empty from spring to autumn these lemon houses are a perfect location for presentations and parties.

The Garden

built in 1572 by Bernardo Buontalenti, the palace was bought by the Corsinis in 1620 Who asked the architect Gherardo Silvani to design the garden and to embellish the facade of the building with a grand loggia. The central prespective is made all the more evidedent by an avenue flenked flanked with statues whose hight diminishes as one draws away from the loggia and moved towards the entrance gate
The garden was enlarged towards the mid 19th century around its central core, turining into a veritable romantic garden, secrets paths, ponds, fountains and ruins adorned with statues.

Renaissance Stables

when in 2004 the Florence Accademy of Art asked to host their annual alumni show in our 16th century stables we immediatly started work!
The stables ad been used as a repository for palace objects for more than 100 years, and never had been open to the pubblic.
Beneath the century’s worth of dust and pilings stood Doric columns in pietra serena stone and four point arches, we were carefull not to remouved the beauty of the patina the place had acquired.
These remarcable stables are a unique location.

Villa Le Corti

16 km from Florence, ideal for large parties and conventions, exhibition shows and film shoots. Wine is produced at Le Corti, the old and new methods of wine making cohabit perfectly, the cellars can be visited business lunches and events may be organized here too.

the Loggia and Court which represent the heart of this villa, can host up to 350 guests seated at tables of 10, the court can be covered by a transparent waterproof dome.
