Our family has a soft spot for this house. It lies in a gulf protected by the peninsula Argentario where a small colony of holiday houses has developed over the past 30 years.
Our house was the first, built not as a holiday resort, but as deposit from where the charcoal produced in the woods of Marsiliana was shipped to other parts of Italy.
You wouldn’t think so if you saw the house today… It is a pretty house painted in a dark Mediterranean pink and stands in a large enclosed garden which is accessed through a wrought iron gate.
A large part of the garden consists of a so called “pineta”, loosely set high, grown pine trees which give you all the shade you need.
Giannella has been divided into 2 apartments.
Pineti on the ground floor has its entrance at the back of the house. Sleeps 4.

Marinella on the upper floor facing the sea and the sunset, sleeps 8,
A gate leads from the garden directly to the beach. Apart from the main holiday month of August the beach is never too crowded.

Pineti – Ground floor – Sleeps 4 .

The architecture of the house of Pineti invites you to a life outdoors. The living quarters as well as one of the bedrooms have large doors onto a pergola furnished with a table for meals outside and easy chairs where you will want to spend lazy summer afternoons.
Large living and dining room opening onto the garden, with fire place, kitchen opening onto the garden. 1 double bedroom. 1 twin bedroom. 1 bathroom.

The house is equipped with a shared washing machine (in a small room in the front), a dishwasher, CD player. The car can be parked inside the enclosed garden.

Marinella – First floor – Sleeps 8 – 109 mq

The apartment Marinella on the first floor faces the sea and the setting sun. Most of the rooms lead off the balcony which stretches along the entire facade, making this feature an integral part of the house. The decoration of the house is distinctly Mediterranean and enhances the simplicity of the house itself. There is always a gentle breeze and even at the peak of summer you will not be too hot.
Should you want to come here at the beginning or the end of the season you would be practically alone on the beach.

The apartment is equipped with a dishwasher and a washing machine (shared with appartment Pineti in a separate room on the ground floor to the front). Your car can be parked inside the enclosed garden.
