Harvest dear Harvest

Fattoria Le Corti is celebrating harvest season and are opening their doors to the public to join in the festivities on Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th October 2006. Doors open both days from 10am to 6pm.
Please join us in celebrating the biggest event of the year: the picking of the grapes.
From “berry to bottle.” Harvest is the perfect occasion to experience first-hand the marvellous process of wine-making. From the methods used to pick and select the grapes, to the fermenting, the blending, the maturation, and finally, the bottling. Harvest is really the perfect time to increase your knowledge of Chianti Classico wines and the wine making process.
Guests are invited to accompany the Wine Director for a walk through the vineyards and if you like, a taste of some grapes straight off the vine.
Visitors are then invited to join us in the Cantine (cellar) for a tour of the working winery. Here you will visit the fermentation rooms, see the French Barriques, the bottling room and take a look at the Italian garden and the Corsini’s 17th Century Renaissance Villa.
Following the tour, guests are invited to a complimentary tasting of Fattoria Le Corti’s Chianti Classico wines and extra virgin olive oil DOP Chianti Classico. Also included in the tasting are Tenuta Marsiliana wines from Maremma, accompanied by bruschette and crostini.

Giardini in Fiera

15,16,17 Settembre 2006, Villa Le Corti, San Casciano Val di Pesa, Firenze
Molto più di una mostra-mercato: Giardini in Fiera, giunta alla sua tredicesima edizione, rappresenta l’occasione per entrare in un giardino antico e bellissimo, quello di una villa del seicento, per circondarsi e stupirsi della meraviglia della natura.
Per vedere la scienza e il progresso dell’uomo che non mettono a rischio l’equilibrio dell’ambiente, ma, al contrario, trasformano un vecchio mestiere, quello del giardiniere, in una nuova e colorata forma d’arte e d’espressione.
La mostra-mercato, ospita un centinaio di Espositori, tra cui alcuni tra i più importanti produttori di piante e fiori, che presentano, in una moltitudine di forme e accostamenti cromatici, le loro più belle creazioni, offrendo ai visitatori consigli, notizie, curiosità sulle miriadi di esemplari che saranno presentati nei vari stand all’aperto, tutti attorno alla rinascimentale villa delle Corti.
